Life can be really messy and it doesn’t always make sense. Therapy is a place for you to dig deep, be challenged, and grow. Therapy isn’t always easy, but it’s my goal to come alongside you to help you through the tough work so that you can find your healing and joy. We will work collaboratively to make change and meet your goals.

Trans, non-binary, and gender nonconforming folks have a lot of hoops to jump through in order to access equitable and safe healthcare: particularly for gender affirming surgeries. One of these hoops is the insurance requirement to have one or more letters from a licensed mental health professional. For folks not already meeting regularly with a therapist, this requirement can be incredibly challenging due to cost, long wait lists, availability of therapists, and honestly, simply finding a trans-competent and affirming clinician who knows what they’re doing.
I am committed to writing gender affirming surgery letters at no cost to the individual. As a trans masculine non-binary person, I get it. You are my community. I would be honored to be a part of your journey in this way.
(For the record, this commitment is made official via The Gender Affirming Letter Access Project, or “GALAP”. Check them out and share the resource, it’s wonderful!)

I offer a free 20 minute consultation to make sure we are a good fit. It will give us an opportunity to meet each other, answer any remaining questions you might have, and discuss logistics.
If we decide to move forward working together, we will schedule your first appointment. Once that is scheduled, you will receive an email with a link to access your new client portal. There, you will be prompted to review and complete the intake paperwork. This includes a short intake questionnaire that is helpful for me to have prior to our first session.
Finally, we are ready to get started! First sessions can go a variety of different ways. Some people prefer a bit more relaxed first session to continue with rapport building and gaining comfortability with each other, some people are ready to jump right in and get started with the work. Either of these and anything between is fine with me. You set the pace here.
Not at all! I have some pretty unique experience and expertise in a variety of areas that make it so that anyone can find my services helpful, regardless of their gender or sexuality. With that being said, I think it is important for Queer people to have access to Queer therapists and serving my community is really important to me. Most of my clients tend to be Queer, but not all of them are.
Nope! Most of my clients tend to fall into the “young adult” category but not everyone.

I am in network with the following insurance companies:

For folks who are hoping to utilize their OON benefits, I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement on your own if you would like.
If you are unsure if you have OON benefits, I encourage you to call your insurance company directly and ask these questions:
Does my plan cover out-of-network providers for mental health therapy?
Do I have a deductible for mental health therapy?
If so, how much is it, and how much has been met/is left?
What is my reimbursement rate for each session?
Do I need a pre authorization to access my OON mental health benefits?
I do reserve a number of reduced fee spots in my practice for those experiencing financial hardship. My reduced fee rate is $100 for 50 minute sessions. Feel free to inquire about this and I will gladly let you know if I have any reduced rate spots open.
For those experiencing financial hardship here are some other resources to consider:
Open Path Collective
Mend Seattle
In a field that is dominated by white clinicians, it is more important than ever for the BIPOC community to have access to therapy and healing, with BIPOC providers.
One small way I have chosen to show my support to the black community is a commitment to quarterly donations to the Therapy Fund Foundation, a Washington state nonprofit organization working to alleviate the financial burden of therapy for black folks.
If you’ve made it this far after cruising through my website, you’re likely thinking we might be a good fit, and you’re probably right! Still, I think we should chat. Choosing a therapist is a big deal, and I want to make sure you feel really good about your decision.
I offer free 20 minute consultations via video. Let’s say hello, I’ll tell you a bit more about working with me, answer any questions you might have, discuss logistics, and then, if you feel good about it, we can schedule our first appointment.
